Q: How long will it take to get approved as a franchisee and build my restaurant?
A: The final decision on your franchise application should not take any longer than 10-12 weeks. If you refer to item 4, Approval Process, it will outline the step-by-step process. When you have been approved as a franchisee, we require that construction begins within 6 months from the day of approval and hat the restaurant opens within 1 year from the date of approval.
Q: Who will build my restaurant? Will you provide plans and an equipment list? Can I use equipment that I already own, or used equipment?
A: You are responsible for constructing your restaurant. However, Eclipse Restaurants does have standard building plans for each franchise offered. You are encouraged to use these plans, and we will provide you with standards and specifications regarding all furnishings and equipment needed, as well as an Approved Supplier list. All deviations from the standard plans must have prior written approval of Eclipse Restaurants.
Q: What will my sales be? How much money will I make? What will be my profit percentage? What are the profit margins of other franchisees? What kind of return on my investment may I expect?
A: Your actual return on investment will depend on a variety of things such as location, economic conditions in your area, and how well you follow our policies and procedures. Of course, a very large factor will be your dedication to your business. Please read the UFOC for more information regarding return on investment.
Q: How much will food and supplies cost? What suppliers should I use? Can I use my own recipes and menu ideas?
A: The UFOC of each Brand has a list of the required items for the estimated initial investment. An Approved Suppliers list is provided to each Franchisee. You will be be required to purchase your supplies from among those Approved Suppliers. Any deviations from the list must receive prior written approval from Eclipse Restaurants.
Q: What new Eclipse Restaurants products can I expect to see this year? What is the marketing plan? What type of marketing materials and support will I receive?
A: Creating new and exciting products is an on-going event with Eclipse Restaurant. In addition, we are continually working to improve our existing products. Franchisees become part of the overall Eclipse Restaurants marketing plan and will receive necessary advertising and promotional materials.
Q: What kind of training does EclipseRestaurants offer?
A: Eclipse Restaurants provides a complete training program, which consists of Basic Brand Training, Management Training and In-Store Training. It is required for at least 2 members of the management team attend and complete a 2-4 week training program. EclipseRestaurants also offers full New Store Opening (NSO) teams for up to 3 months at a price to be determined by location, number of people and length of time.
Q: What comprises Eclipse Restaurants quality assurance program? Who enforces quality?
A: Eclipse Restaurant Corporate Office will provide quality assurance programs which must be folloed by the Franchisors to help insure their customers total satisfaction. These programs, will help franchisees by providing a way to check on their performance in serving their customers. Franchisees will also check their performance with the use of self-audits as well as periodic audits from the Corporate Office.
Q: Will I be required to use specific accounting/service software at my restaurant?
A: The UFOC for each Brand will outline the computer system and software required to be used. You will be required to prepare and keep detailed records of all sales and anything else that affects the finances of your restaurant.
